Main goals of this Sector are:
1. supporting the development of the culture of safety and security among the citizens;
2. taking part in the projects whose aim is: to improve the potentials for the peaceful crisis situation solving; development of the negotiation and communication set of skills; the rise of the capacity for the self-defence activity in the community; the cooperation between the local community and the government sector, the advancement of the competency among the government officials, the local governing authorities and citizens in the process of the security risk assessment and management and prevention of potential crisis; helping in the processes of developing the potentials who will timely and properly react in times of crisis, catastrophes and conflicts;
3. scientific and professional research directed at negotiations and peaceful conflicts´ solution;
4. active work on deepening the cooperation between interested parties such as government, non-government sector and citizens, aimed at the citizens´ safety and security, prevention and peaceful crisis and conflict resolutions, management of the risk assessment in the local community as well as on the territory of the country as a whole, and alike.
The Social Development Sector had so far organised the expert discussion panel titled: ˝Risk Analysis and Assessment in the Bomb Threat Situations˝, as well as the round table panel exercise with the topic oriented toward the crime investigations, titled: ˝White City˝.
